Biography

Ellinor Ljungkvist is a dancer and choreographer based in Stockholm. She holds a Diploma in Balett and Contemporary Dance from Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, a Bachelor in Arts from the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin, Dance, Context, Choreography and a Master in Choreography from The University of Dance and Circus Stockholm.

Ellinor have worked with dancers and choreographers such as Deufert&Plischke, Wanda Golonka, Susan Rethorst, Amanda Billberg and Mr. Rice and Peanuts to mention few. She has received scholarships as Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and Per Eriksson Stiftelse and project support from The Swedish Arts Grants Committee and Dance of Örebro Region for research, production and performance.

Ellinor´s artistic work is known for its combination of contemporary dance and conceptual performance art, often with demanding physical and emotional performance based on true events. Ellinor have presented her work for example at PACT Zollverein Performing Arts Choreographic Centre Essen, Danscentrum Stockholm, ÖBKHL Örebro Konsthall, Theater Martin Mutter Örebro, HAU 3 Berlin, Tanzfabrik /Uferstudios Berlin, Nordlys Dance Festival Copenhagen, Ravnedans Dance Festival Kristianstad, Theater Skorohod Saint Petersburg and P-noice Festival Manilla.
