Artistic methodology and meditation based on somatic and self-reflective practices is the core of this research project. With inspiration from artists and philosophers such as Yoko Ono, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Sean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir the practice of developing and formulating mental journeys is the aim. The meditations include existentialistic views on ones own appearance and animism, naturalism and sorrow. The mediations shall set the practitioners in a certain state of being in order to create possible choreographic material. The inner experiences from the practitioner’s meditation are written down as written reflections. These reflections will be re-formulated into performance instructions through a defined writing-approach. The dancers embody the instructions through dance improvisations as a last step of the journey.
